Wind Energy

The CTTC's researchers know-how  in the field of Wind Energy is applied to:

  • Thermal optimization of nacelles, our experience in thermal projects vouch for the group.
  • Airfoil design and testing,  by performing DNS simulations at cutting-edge level.
  • Full wind turbine design, aiming to capture unsteady effects using LES simulations.
  • Offshore and complex terrain wind farms testing, by coupling Actuator Line Method and LES models.
